I would like to recommend 2 books that almost seem prophetic
Both are by Daniel Suarez. They are techno thrillers but a interesting. I bought the audio books that I could not stop listening to.

I don't know if you knew or not but DU has a few 'group's for discussion of 'reading and writing', a list here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=forum&id=1192
One of those 'groups' might be a bit more appropriate for discussion of 'books' in the future.
