Future U.S. Weather Will Be Stormy AND Drought Filled

The U.S. Global Change Research Program has made a 70-year global precipitation model. Continuing greenhouse gas emission levels (A2) produce a more severe outlook than an alternative (B1) based on worldwide cooperation in environmental policy.

1. Last year was a dry year here in California and this year

the customary February rains have been virtually nil. Usually it's very wet this time of year. It's getting worrisome and I don't think it's just a localized phenomenon.

Even one of my RW relatives admitted that Global warming was real!

2. SO, HOW DO WE GET MILLIONS TO BE AWARE AND ACTIVE ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE?

My thought is that there is knowledge and even concern with millions, but they are too caught up in their daily lives, even survival to "afford" to care or act. The organizations that represent Big Oil & Coal are spending $$$ to introduce thoughts that this climate change thing is either a fake concern or just not proven, y'know, controversial with scientists split. In the former case, the stakes I believe, need to be shown clearly and in a proven fashion, like Greenland's massive melting, ocean acidification, reefs dying in a rapid manner, etc. In the latter, the scientists need to state unequivocally that 97% of them agree that we are quickly moving to a heated planet with catastrophic consequences for many if not all. Plus of course organizations such as 360.com and Sierra Club having ever larger demonstrations with perhaps civil disobedience need to grow like the Anti-Viet Nam demonstrations. In 1969, there were 35,000 of us at Nixon's Inaug having a counter-Inauguration March...by November of the same year there were about a MILLION of US in DC Marching to end the war. Huge crowds catch attention and therefore have the possibility of bringing awareness of the issue. Any other thoughts?

3. We're having quite a weather day here in Kerrville, TX. Sustained winds

with rolling, billowing dust and wind gusts 45+mph...humidity 19% to drop to 10% this afternoon and therefore we're under yet another red flag warning. The good news is that I haven't heard sirens....yet! Oh, did I say we need rain?
