On September 6, 2008, Senator Barack Obama told AARP members:

"John McCain's campaign has suggested that the best answer for the growing pressures on Social Security might be to cut cost of living adjustments or raise the retirement age. Let me be clear: I will not do either."

Less "bluffing" and more clarity, please!

...and the RWNJs crucifying him for it was tantrum-throwing by ideological zealots.

Here, the zealotry comes from on high, thanks to millionaires and billionaires who are convinced that Social Security needs to be cut, and that the rest of us are some sort of petulant kids who won't eat our peas because we don't think that's such a swell idea.

Did Obama lie then or is he being weak now?

Either way, it does not look good for him.

Seniors and their children will not forget this. I spoke to one of my daughters about this today. She was disgusted with the thought of chained CPI, and she understands this stuff extremely well. My other daughter is not going to like it either since she works a lot with very elderly people.

This is really, really wrong. Obama knew it in 2008. Why is he being so weak, so wrong?

The Prez just took too much $$$$$ from Fat Cats and now they get protection and the elders have to get pushed under the Bus of $$$$ Politics. Gotta Amend the Constitution to nullify Citizens United.

...on the US debt or deficit. Social Security is FULLY FUNDED for the next 20 years. If the earnings cap was lifted on Social Security, it would remain solvent indefinitely.

So why is Obama screwing with Social Security in the first place?

He is just protecting his family and himself. The elite menace is over him. He don't want to end like J F K.
If Jesus Christ become president, the elite will crucify him for sure. That's why rich people will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
