They claim traditional America is under attack and then claim they will bring back a former glorious time that only existed in their minds. They used to claim it was in the 50s when America was under fear of being wiped out by nukes. In the 50s they claimed it was back during the frontier days when you could carve out a living in the wilderness with an axe and a rifle.

These days they claim America was at it's height during Reagan. When Washington was a shining city on a hill that happened to be run by a bunch of clowns and crooks.
