1. I've been watching this post for over an hour. Where's the outrage?

I know that many here today think, "Aw shucks, if President Obama is doing this, it's OK." Well, no it's not OK. I'm going to Bill Moyers website to see if I can find the episode of Bill Moyers Journal that he did with Bruce Fein and John Nichols....just prior to the 2008 election. They talked than that if some of the powers that bush gained in his presidency weren't reigned in prior to the election that no president would give them up. I think now of that....and, you know what? They were correct. As much faith as I had in our President then....well, let's just say my faith has been shredded. This is treacherous territory...the spying on U.S. citizens without cause.....without cause!

EDIT: Found the quote I was looking for....July 13, 2007....
http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/07132007/profile.html

"On January 20th, 2009, if George Bush and Dick Cheney are not appropriately held to account this Administration will hand off a toolbox with more powers than any President has ever had, more powers than the founders could have imagined. And that box may be handed to Hillary Clinton or it may be handed to Mitt Romney or Barack Obama or someone else. But whoever gets it, one of the things we know about power is that people don't give away the tools." — John Nichols

2. I think that we are suffering from massive apathy, people feel helpless to make a difference.

Many are too damn tired after working 10,12,14 hours a day and use that excuse not to try anything. Many are afraid to say anything, yes it has now even come to that.
For myself, I try to post frequently to spread what I know to be the case, that the majority of our politicians have been bought and paid for. They control Congress, the Judiciary and the media, oh and wait I almost forgot, the POTUS. I don't mean complete day-to-day control, but their message is clear and the cash speaks loudly! We must publicly fund elections and elect no one who desires to infringe on our actual freedoms.
I hope this spygate spurs a movement, but that is not what I expect to be the case. We need to regain control of our Government!

3. I agree with public campaign financing however,

we both know that until the politicians realize that public financing
would put them on an equal scale with their opponents, nothing will
happen....individually they want to be better than their opponents in
the fundraising category. imho They must get off the spinning hamster
wheel of raising more and more money. I don't think this will ever happen.
