If you thought Andrea Tantaros was a jerk, meet her co host Jason Mattera

Media Matters just put together this excellent collection of misogynistic remarks made by Fox News contributor and talk radio host Andrea Tantaros, whose radio show is co-hosted by former Human Events editor Jason Mattera and syndicated by Talk Radio Network. The Tantaros & Mattera show has included such rhetoric such as asking if one of Obama's daughters will be on birth control and punching Obama supporters. Classy and educational all around.

Mattera is similar to The O'Reilly Factor producer Jesse Watters because Mattera creates videos where he confronts Democratic members of Congress over right wing talking points. Here's the latest Mattera sh*t job:

Basically Mattera was asking Sens. Al Franken and Chuck Schumer (Schumer, like Mattera, is a native of Brooklyn, NY) if they should be on the witness stand of the IRS hearings because they wrote letters to the IRS asking for more scrutiny of 501(c)(4) groups. At the 1:20 mark Mattera TWICE claims that Franken's letter asked to investigate "conservative nonprofits". Ditto when Mattera meets Schumer.

I posted some comments correcting his BS. Please upvote.

As DUer Phillyindy posted elsewhere, the actual March 12, 2012 letter signed by Franken, Schumer, and other senators says nothing about conservative or tea party groups but rather 501(c)(4)'s in general. Even the conservative Powerline blog has an article titled: "Schumer not to blame for IRS scandal."

Sen. Michael Bennet's website has an archive of the senators' February 16, 2012 letter to the IRS. Again, nothing about specific partisan Tea Party/right wing groups, rather 501(c)(4)'s in general!

Furthermore, the New York Times article from March 7, 2012 cited in the Fox News TV report that Mattera cited for his questioning again does not support Mattera's line of questioning as it reports:

In recent weeks, the I.R.S. has sent dozens of detailed questionnaires to Tea Party organizations applying for nonprofit tax status, demanding to know their political leanings and activities. The agency plans this year to press existing nonprofits like American Crossroads, on the Republican side, and Priorities USA, on the Democratic side, to justify their tax-protected status as “social welfare” organizations, a status that many tax professionals believe is being badly abused.

At issue are groups large and small formed as 501(c)(4)s under the tax code, a designation created for social welfare groups but which include such overtly political organizations as American Crossroads — co-founded by Karl Rove, the former political adviser to President George W. Bush, to help elect Republicans — and Priorities USA, founded by former Obama White House aides and overtly backed by President Obama.

“To be tax-exempt as a social welfare organization described in Internal Revenue Code (IRC) section 501(c)(4), an organization must be primarily engaged in the promotion of social welfare,” I.R.S. officials said in a statement e-mailed in response to inquiries about the I.R.S.’s activities. “The promotion of social welfare does not include any unrelated business activities or intervention in political campaigns on behalf of or in opposition to any candidate for public office.”

The Democratic group Priorities USA uses a blanket disclaimer on its Web site that says, “Contributions to Priorities USA are not deductible for federal income tax purposes.” American Crossroads leaves unaddressed the business tax deductibility issue, stating, “Contributions to American Crossroads are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.”

Speaking of Franken, here's a classic video where Mattera annoyed Franken to the point where the senator said "You need to shut up right now", and Mattera again made sht up:

And Alan Grayson has had to put up with this rat bastard too:

Wikipedia has more info about Mattera's life in the wingnut tabloid industry and his toilet paper rolls (books, sorry) Obama Zombies and Hollywood Hypocrites...and now Mattera has this new waste of electronic space (E-Book!) 7 Ways To Make A Liberal Cry Like A Little Girl that's available FOR FREE! (Wow, not even Threshold Books, Regnery, the wingnut tabloid press wanted to publish it for profit?_

This guy is a valid argument to decriminalize dueling. Think about it, would he not look better on the end of a saber?...........well I feel better now thats out of my system.

I do have to give this troll some credit. It least he exposes his face unlike the vast majority of trolls. Or it could be said, the other trolls have the courtesy not to risk exposing the rest of us from the fungus that grows in the basement of their mothers house. Whichever.
