See, it is used to debunk the idea that war, natural disasters, spending money for the sake of spending money can be used to stimulate the economy. Its not about taxes per say because taxes are actually used for productive endeavors like education, roads, healthcare etc etc, it doesn't destroy anything. Do you believe that world war II brought us out of the great depression? then the reply is for you.
