You know, I think if it was a black woman and a white man in the original commercial, I don't think all the racists would have been up in arms as much. The black man with the white woman is what they don't like.

People generally don't get bent out of shape about white men who are with women of other races.

Most of the vitriol directed at IR couples in the US is saved for black men who are with non-black women, especially white women.
