Rick Santorum Compared Senate Democrats to Hitler in 2005

Rick Santorum was correct when he said he’s been making World War II analogies many times.

Senate Republicans were trying to prevent Democratic filibusters of Bush judicial nominees in 2005. As a part of this effort, Rick Santorum compared his rival lawmakers to “Hitler in Paris.” “Remarkable. Remarkable hubris,” Santorum says. “I mean, imagine… the audacity of some members to stand up and say, how dare you break this rule? It’s the equivalent of Adolf Hitler in 1942: “I’m in Paris. How dare you invade me? How dare you bomb my city? It’s mine.”

Santorum is a prime case. I cannot believe that this person could be considered a serious candidate for POTUS. 30 years ago, he'd be laughed out of national politics and labeled a screw-ball. Today, he's leading the polls to be the republican nominee. It's a sick Party and people like Rick are driving more sane people away...leaving the remaining a little sicker.

I.E. he's decrying the fact that Congress just keeps passing more laws when we don't need more laws, yet he certainly has no problem with new laws that would prohibit abortion or gay marriage...

If it's ok for the thugs to heckle Obama, why aren't the Dems shouting hypocrite while S@nt*r%m is speaking?
