I had seen pictures that Elfie Balis took of the beautiful black women at the 1964 convention. I knew they were fighting for their rights but didn't know much beyond that.

thank you for posting the video.. I knew her name was part of the fight for civil rights but I didn't know here story.

thank you for letting us hear her words. heartbreaking.

Elfie passed away several years ago but his pictures will live on as well these incredible women.
