The stroke of midnight on July 31/August 1 will be a historic moment. Minnesota’s marriage equality law will take effect and Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak will fufill his pledge to start marrying 63 couples at City Hall. Cathy ten Broeke and Margaret Miles will be the first to take their vows. (Read more about their story here.)

4. This is a beautiful thing, annm4peace....

and so waaaaay overdue! I'm straight but not narrow. I was so happy when my state of MD passed marriage equality. Went to one of my lesbian friend's wedding a couple weeks ago and it was awesome. Celebrating a gay marriage and equality at the same time!

Love = love. Why is that such a difficult concept?
