Careful with those ears! Our oldest boy Lancelot lost his hearing years ago because a negligent vet rinsed his ears with a chlorhexadine solution. NEVER EVER let them do that. It all sprang from ear infections....he had been feral the 1st 2 years of his life, apparently that makes them much more susceptible to infection. Your experience with ear drops, etc. really rings a bell.
Rufus is obviously a wonderful lad and a very lucky kitty. Good vibes to you both.

(12,882 posts)I built a much smaller thing like this for one of my parrots. He loved getting lost inside and chewing the whole thing to shreds over the course of a week.
