(4,572 posts)If suddenly the Democrats all start mentioning this quote and Boehner's ratings, it will resonate.
Mighty Wurlitzer-esque, perhaps. But this one actually is the truth.

(17,656 posts)Shiiiitttttteee, I can stand on my head for 15 months!!
Congress is about to take a 5-week summer recess.
Boehnor doesn't care about creating any jobs.
Instead, he views the recess as an unbroken chain of 35 straight days to play golf!!!
Those are the only numbers he really cares about, anyway!

(10,893 posts)be interesting to see if somebody will actually step up to the plate and run against him this time. As long as he knows that his seat isn't in jeopardy and that he'll still get paid big bucks every year just for being there, it's only natural for him to get complacent and fart around the whole 2 years.

(25,111 posts)because they are in their tiny little minds manufactured when its against them. Plus all the gerrymandering and red-redistricting will secure their constant presence in congress. Eventually their own base, enough of them will begin to vote against them so in reality the gerrymandering and red-redistricting won't mean a damn thing, so therefore, gopers must suppress the votes even more but hopefully by that time either there will be a better awakening of a new gop party or better yet the total destruction of the current one. I prefer the last one tho - heh heh heh. . .
That said, as a democracy we do need more than two political parties, seriously. Anywho, the current gopers plan are - more screaming of BENGHAZI, still try to repeal and defund Obamacare, shut down the government. No jobs plan but further cry for cuts cuts cuts - food stamps to name one (hey the 1% need more).

They'd most certainly give him something to cry about!

Sometimes I really don't understand how a mind can function with so much cognitive dissonance.
Actually, I suppose that minds like this don't really "function."
Except for the reptilian parts that make the eat and walk, minds like this just sort of flutter around spewing whatever bubbles to the surface.
We could've been such a nice species!

(12,863 posts)The shame of it is though, the mainstream media fails to point this out.
So they keep on telling bigger & bigger lies, with little or no consequences.

(946 posts)You know, and I know, that republicans have 117% approval rating, and democrats have only 0.002% approval. That's the truth, my friends. All of 'murica hates Obama and the liberals and loves what Republicans are doing to help the nation!

(64,988 posts)Everyone knows the Republicans have a 180% approval rating and have had that since the Civil War. (Sorry, War Over States' Rights)

(516 posts)No one but a young black church choir could produce such talent as Marvin Gaye, Aretha, Staple singers and so many others. Very powerful voices; very powerful people. People can talk all day; but good music is one of the best forms of communication.
1965 and I was about 12 years old. We were dancing and swimming our arses off in the summer and heavy study of history, math, music and Spanish in the winter. My point: The Civil rights Act.
