1. It should have long been obvious, had the general public been paying attention,

that the Republicans are fixed on privatizing EVERYTHING. All to put maximum profits into the coffers of their big corporate donors. The average citizen, however, is understandably more concerned with keeping or finding a job and maintaining the roof over their heads. Those of us who are retired have had more time to be politically active...except now we need to worry about keeping the Social Security into which we paid all of our working lives.
