Science tells us what stresses that a cement job can withstand.

What if the cement cannot hold the bore volume and pressure of the surrounding geological formations? It makes me think about how thick and solid Hoover Dam is? Does the crust of the Earth slip and fracture as the continents move? Will natural continental drift cause the cement job to crack? Will fracking pressure cause the cement to crack? How long does it take for cement to set up?

All of these problems are a source of negligence in my opinion.
