(7,142 posts)state budgets by cutting workers jobs, wages, and benefits. I should have said, stop trying to balance the budget, since 70% of GDP comes from consumer spending. No need to look at soaking the uber rich if we are all playing on a level playing field, ehh?

(28,344 posts)It's actually a DU tradition and most people are appreciative.
Lots of people read DU from their phones and clicking on links is time consuming and battery consuming.
I usually don't click on links either from my desktop if there's no summation. I look at the thread and see the reaction in the posts and decide from there.

(48,960 posts)The posters can spend one minute writing out a paragraph explaining the main point and making a convincing case for watching the video.
That is a much better investment of time than requiring a hundred or a thousand curious people to invest one minute each watching enough to decide whether or not to continue.
It is much faster to read a summary than to watch the first minute of a video.
However, some people do not understand this concept. If it is because they have difficulty reading, then they are excused.

(9,001 posts)The graphic has "Inequality America" in the upper left corner. It shows icons of people divided into segments. Although it is not entirely self explanatory, it does suggest that it has something to do with inequality and segments of the population.
I'm never quite sure what is so difficult about inductive reasoning.

(14,459 posts)But I would have like to see an excerpt and a chart.
It did a good job selling the dreaded "socialism", considering that fact they threw at us- 7% of the wealth among the lowest 70% of us.
Someone got sold a bill of goods about how great our system is.
