the unarmed teen who was shot in the head.

I guess Perry is confused.

The teen in Florida was shot in the chest. The teen in New Orleans was shot in the head. Big Difference!

... just so long as the hair looks good. For Texas governors, that's all it takes, not that it matters, since the TX Con is sorta unique: governor has very limited power to do much of anything. The Lege, and Speaker in particular, run the state government. Heck; the TX Lt. Gov has as much or more power than the Gov.

It's a beauty contest, in politics, and not executive experience. Ergo, we gotta stop thinking TX governors should ever be president.

FWIW

Having been in power for more than 12 years he has appointed almost every state board member, regulatory member, chancellor, division head, and manager for every institution in Texas. The governor makes over 3,000 appointments in a 4 year term so there are some 9-10,000 Perry turds *ucking up Texas every time we turn around. I'm not gonna say I hate it, 'cause I wouldn't be welcome on du, but I hardly recognize it. 49th in education spending, #1 in uninsured, minimum wage jobs, carbon emissions, and worker fatalities. Yee Haw. But he's killed 502 people as a so-called "right to lifer."

Texas goes wherever the man goes! he IS Texas.... If Texas does it, it's legal! (I don't know why, but I could picture him saying this play on Nixon's words)
