Maybe I'm mistaken, but isn't U.S. Senator from Texas the first elective office Ted Cruz has held? maddiemom Aug 2013 #3

...Coburn comes across as the smarter of 2 senators, but >Ted Cruz is mind-numbingly stupid! I do so hope that he is their 2016 nominee!

PEACE!

A minority of a minority want to seize power and control over all branches of Government without bothering to win elections. In essence this is a trial balloon for a non-military coup. Those pushing so hard for the repeal of Obama care have but one mantra, control and power elections be dammed. The one percent told them it is really OK to do this. Corporations with money are people too.

I mean, even on a state level? I know he held a lot of appointed positions in his state. I also know he has an impression education and was a U.S. Supreme Court clerk. But he actually appears pretty dumb, as you point out. But I'd bet it's an evil ploy to appeal to the all too many low information (or dumb) voters, of which there are all too many. Cruz is scary. He's jumped right in after six or so months and is obviously out to lead the party. I know my approval of Elizabeth Warren's "jumping right in" could make me sound hypocritical, but I think we could agree that the two new senators have very different agendas.
