Rachel Parent debates (i.e. schools and shuts up) Kevin O'Leary on why GMO labelling is necessary

Watch as teenage anti-GMO activist, Rachel Parent, WINS a debate with Kevin O'Leary on GMO labelling. Pretty amazing how Rachel holds her own during the debate. We've got an outstanding advocate on our side!

1. Label the food with the gene(s) used in GMOs. The companies making the products

would have to share their studies and methods on line. They already have a patent. The consumer can choose to eat them during the testing or wait until a long term study is completed. The consumer makes the decision when to eat and what to eat.

Ethics laws could regulate how much deviation of amino acid sequences or genes should be allowed.

Humans have many amino acid sequences in common with Apes (Animal Kingdom), fewer with the Plant Kingdom, fewer with the Fungi Kingdom and even fewer with other Kingdoms. Using E. coli bacteria to synthesize insulin protein is acceptable because the each bacterium is killed. The bacterial DNA is destroyed. And the molecules of human insulin are then harvested. Prokaryotic Eubacteria can synthesize many molecules using plasmids or loops of genes/amino acid sequences that have stops and starts.

Giving the human cell the ability to make the round up gene through transformation is frightening to me. Giving the plant cell the ability to make round up is very frightening to me. Giving E. coli the ability to make insulin and then destroy its DNA is perfectly acceptable to me.

and his initials are Kevin O'Leary.

I had an aunt die not too long ago from...well, we're still not sure. I new organism was growing inside of her (but not in her womb) and some of her organs stopped functioning. Then she died. I guess she was a lab rat for some corporation's "experiment", too.

3. She made the mistake of going all out against GMO's and then ended up retreating to labeling

and more testing as to not seem extreme and anti-science. She did a good job but ultimately looked like she wasn't sure what she believed.

Rachel should have stopped him and asked ole Kev if he wasn't an agent of GMO makers like Monsatan...ole Kev was so patronizing when "fake asking" Rachel if she wanted to kill these poor boys or watch them go unnecessarily blind...what bullshit!

5. Rachel did a very effective job of sticking to her decision, Label GMOs.

Best way to win a conversation, be consistent, talk the broken record no explanation needed. O'Leary wanted to change the subject from labeling by using a brainwashing technique, that Rachel wanted to decide for others, what foods, others should buy. Classic projection, influential salesmanship technique.

Rachel stood her ground. She was polite and respectful to adults.

I learned something. Not only should the genes be label, but the process outlined under a flap opening.
