(10,494 posts)You will NEVER hear this on major media! Unfortunately, the local media on the coast rode out the recession since 4/20/2010 on BP bucks! I was in Key West, the southern most point in the U.S.A., watching that same damn,"come on down to the Gulf Coast, we're setting all kinds of records here..." You hear it up and down the coast. Come on down, really? We are on the f'in coast! How much farther down do you need to go than Key West? Their are no victim stories written, filmed, or broadcasted. Every documentary that starts to show trailers disappears after BP buys the rights! Most victims have not had an offer unless you count the several hundred thousand broke victims who took $5,000 to settle something that effectively killed their livelihoods. They were broke because BP did not pay the quarterly interim payments these victims needed while out of work. BP has pulled every dirty trick in the book and no one talks about it.
Boycott BP!
Senator Kirsten Gillibrand said it best tonight on The Daily Show, "We need publicly funded elections!"
