1. Hmmm... Thompson's telegenic.

In person he seems like a slick insider -- which seems to be what he is. But that's a good ad. He seems more earnest talking to the camera than he does to an audience of real people.

Good also for Quinn. She could have run a campaign of historic significance. Now her "first" status ( LGBT, woman) seems like mere window dressing to cloak 4 more years of rule by the 1%. But she looks good here.

DiBlasio: Bill, we get it. Your family's the Rainbow Coalition. But that idea peaked in 1984. Around the time Dante's haircut went out. We need to see more of YOU, Bill. A missed opportunity here, one suspects.

Weiner: Oh stop it now. Talking to the camera does not suit him. Most unnatural. Give him a live audience. He can "sell ice to Eskimos."


Prediction: Thompson vs. Quinn in a runoff. ( I'm pulling for DiBlasio.)

Edit: I have to admit , I had my doubts about this OP when I saw "Weiner unveils his campaign ad." Sorry... I should have known; no DUer would be that cruel.
