1. hmm... I could only hear the very first sound

what does it mean?

2. I could barely hear the 40 and under tone.

Honestly, my tinnitus leaves me with a constant ringing anyway.
Too much heavy metal in my 20s and 30s.

3. I could hear all of them. In the higher ranges the second to the last seemed a little louder.

4. The eyes in the back of my head don't work as well any longer, but

I guess my hearing is still on target because I could hear everything, even with the dishwasher running in the next room...and I'm 68.

6. Make sure you have YouTube resolution set at 1080p

I didn't hear 12,000 until I set the HD. Couldn't hear anything beyond that (46 years old)

8. At 1080p and with earbuds I could faintly hear the second one (54 here)

18. The sound system is important too. I have some older Altec Lansing....

They date back to the days when they threw real money into hardware.

and Marantz 80W speakers above the TV...

9. Real hearing tests..

are done on equipment that most people don't have connected to their computer.
This test means nothing.

Which makes sense since I'm not quite 40.

My dad sent me this. I think he was trying to explain why he sometimes can't hear his cell phone ring.

Plus I have tinnitus that interferes with my hearing.

I'm 30, used to work with extremely loud machinery, and liften to metal with headphones cranked all the way up.

My ears are apparently the equivalent of that 109 year old guy who swears he got his immortality by eating raw beef and drinking turpentine.
