More than 400 Phillipino farmers stormed a test field of Golden Rice at the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Unit No. 5 at Pili, Camarines Sur in the Phillipines. Farmers uprooted the genetically modified rice in order to stop the planned commercialization of Golden Rice.
The farmers have decided to take action against the ongoing Golden Rice field trials. said Bert Autor , a farmer and spokesperson of SIKWAL-GMO. The group is an alliance of farmers, church people, students, academicians and consumers who oppose GMOs and Agrochemical Transnational Corporations control on agriculture.

I agree with the coming farmers,. (sorry again, just makes me laugh).
GMO is a sick ploy, to wrangle seed/life ownership from the commons to capitalist-corporations. There little actual benefit from any GMO, only patent and copyright attachment,. most every claim made by Monsanto, or any GMO pusher, is easily refuted worth minimal research, and yet the corporate-media have so much trouble presenting the reality. We only hear the god-like benefits of the corporate-seeds in the media,. .
