I am not trying to disregard what this cat did. However, I am wondering if the cat was able to tell where the ball was because he could hear the bell as it moved.

But the amazing thing was his communication with the woman. He understood what she was expecting of him and he was happy to comply, pointing with his paw.

But they are practically blind when it comes to vertical movement. That is why you can drop food in their dish and they will still stare at you waiting for you to feed them.
