......... the mental image of a 20 year old Honey Boo-Boo "twerking" caused an involuntary nausea response.

It was bad enough seeing "Hannah Montana" twerking.

it less interesting than Lady Gaga and no shocker but alas the corporate media needs something to howl about.

They are discussing or making the case for the attacks on Syria per corporate media. Turmoil, battles, wars, i.e. who controls the "oil" is a billion dollar market. If Russia, China and Iran come forth and help Syria then our allies, including, UK & Israel, also with the backing of the Saudis and other Middle East countries. Nevertheless, its gonna get ugly and many more will suffer and die all because as it seems that we as a species just cannot get along.

The ones that get me are the ones that claim "it's getting worse" all the time.

They just LOVE to push the idea that society itself is so fragile that it will fall apart because of a dance number.

Witness Madonna at the MTV Video Awards in 1984.

What is she, like 70 now?

A win - even a small, minor victory for human rights - should be a bigger story than a dance number that made the American Taliban shit their pants (again).

"...preserve the special mental atmosphere that the hierarchical society needs"

There used to be something else. It tugs at my mind. Oh, yes, I sort of recall it now.

It was something called the Constitution of the United States of America, and Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 said something like:

Congress shall have Power ... To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water...

No, I am not certain what a "Congress" is either, as that too has gone down the Memory Hole along with the Constitution.

Yet it does seem as though there is a certain sense in not investing in one person the power of taking the nation to war on his own caprice, certainly not when there is no pressing and immediate threat to our country.

But, yes, I do recognize that such a thought does fly in the face of the current foundation of American law and society - which makes clear that as the American President, is der Führer der „freien" Welt, that then das Führerprinzip gives him the clear legal authority to do whatever he wishes as „Grundsatz der unbedingten Führerautorität“

In some ways I liked a free and democratic society better. However I certainly wish those at NSA who are reading this, to know and be reassured that I fully and warmly accept the bloody embrace of our Brave New World.

Remember: War is Peace; Freedom is Slavery; Ignorance is Strength; Obama is God.
