(20,776 posts)When we were giving songs to Mr. Scorpio in the lounge. It seemed appropriate...back than, it was the Vietnam war. Seems we did not learn much from that.

(12,882 posts)I escaped a body bag. I escaped being a dead end for my genetic heritage. But I could very easily have been a name on the Vietnam memorial - a marked (or unmarked) grave somewhere. And for my efforts - for the efforts of crews that flew planes I worked on - planes I drew nose art on to glorify what these planes did - I get to wear clothing made IN Vietnam. Clothing that should be made by American workers, but isn't because of the corporate traitors who pull our peon strings.

(12,882 posts)I have a granddaughter that's in the Army Reserves. Belonging to that organization has been good for her, but I worry she'll end up a war statistic eventually.

(20,776 posts)And lets hope, by the time she gets out.. Veterans benefits will be improved for everyone. I myself, have seen what the Republicans have tried to do for Veterans, and they should all be hung out to dry.

(450 posts)Could some tech savvy individual out there follow those words with perky spokes persons cheerily announcing: Boeing, Lockheed, Haliburton, Exxon Mobile, Geeee E etc. Clips from their own ads. I'd view that one.
