The New Hackable Internet is on the Horizon

Not how, at about 7:30, the Speaker describes how AT&T Had problems diverting Traffic off of the Fiber for monitoring and how the new software version would allow this to be done with Software Modules, then his voice gets evasive, like he knows he's getting into Classified Material. Was he describing some NSA shenanigans, like Prism?

He was talking about diagnosing and repairing networks. I didn't detect anything that directly relates to surveillance.

I can see how the centralized aspect of what he's describing could allow hackers to gain more control when they succeed in bypassing network security, however.

That's not to say there aren't nefarious undertones in his presentation: This guy hates the Internet. He wants corporations to shift their customers away from Internet protocols.
