What Prompted Bill OReilly to Issue On-Air Apology?
Bill OReilly ended his Thursday night show apologizing for incorrectly claiming the night before in two separate segments that no conservatives or Republicans were invited. There were multiple reports to the contrary yesterday and today, and OReilly admitted he got it wrong.
OReilly thought it was a mistake that the invited Republicans didnt attend, but admitted his on-air misstatement was entirely on me, saying he merely assumed Republicans were excluded. He told his audience in his Tip of the Day, Always check out the facts before you make a definitive statement, and when you make a mistake, admit it.

(907 posts)8. I need to clarify what I said above.
What I meant was that his boss probably doesn't want him to tell the truth regarding the Repub absence.

Billo was compelled to do this because so many people called bullshit so loudly that it actually penetrated the echo chamber.

At this point in his career, he'd have to spend a month just listing them.
