TYT: NBC Execs Privately Briefed on War with Iran by General McCaffrey

Via Salon.com: "Apparently, not only does NBC continue to present McCaffrey to its viewers as some sort of objective analyst, but NBC News executives use him as some kind of private consultant and briefer on the news. On January 12, 2012, McCaffrey presented a seminar to roughly 20 NBC executives and producers -- including NBC News President Steve Capus -- entitled "Iran, Nukes & Oil: The Gulf Confrontation." We've obtained the Power Point presentation McCaffrey prepared and distributed for his presentation, and in it, he all but predicts war with Iran within the next 90 days: one that is likely to be started by them...".*

He's on the GE payroll because they want us to listen to him, and think that a lot of us do.

I doubt he has any real information to 'brief' on.

I saw him give a speech, a few months after the first Gulf War. A colorful man...but a little self serving.

This is a network commentator desperately trying and failing to keep himself relevant, and people are acting like it's actually news or in any way indicative of anything.

Why NBC Execs? Why are they so exclusive and what access to military policy does he have. Isn't he retired? This is very disturbing. Why was FOX excluded?

And he has no official access to any military policy. Because yes, he's retired. It's just him trying to look smart to his employer.

If you look at the Power Point presentation it lists the # Threat to America's Security as "Withdrawal from Afghanistan".

This whole dog-and-pony show by General Barry is to sell a policy of continuing the Afghanistan war for the benefit of his customers---war profiteers and the military.
