The GOP's little rule change they hoped you wouldn't notice

Published on 12 Oct 2013
Late in the evening on September 30, 2013, the House Rules Committee Republicans changed the Rules of the House so that the ONLY Member allowed to call up the Senate's clean CR for a vote was Majority Leader Eric Cantor or his designee -- all but guaranteeing the government would shut down a few hours later and would stay shut down. Previously, any Member would have had the right to bring the CR up for a vote. Democracy has been suspended in the House of Representatives.

are not in jail awaiting trials. The saddest part is we are dying and the planet is dying and all these bag of F*$#(* can do is manipulate and steal and lie.
Humans are stupid.
They need to be thrown in prison. Then watch them change their tune.

we must make sure it and Boehner are forever connected. Moveon petition inviting Boehnerto remove the Boehner rule and end the shut down anyone? Have you noticed how Hastert does not like to be associated with the Hastert rule, just think how much worse Boehner would feel when we shame him. It would also help ensure less votes for gim in ih highly Gerrymandered Congressional district here in Ohio.

Yest, it won't be until 2030 before we can fix the gerrymandering. I think it's every 10 years after census has been documented. That is why Ted Strickland's re-election was so important...

We, the United States of America are periling on the edge of a Constitutional Crisis.

Instead of Americans running out to stores, buying iPods, Playstations 4's and Computers it is time for us to demand our Government return back to The People. Rather than watching the latest installment of Real Housewives of Orange County, Atlanta or New Jersey our attention needs to be focused on CSPAN and Washington, D.C.

I posted the clip on Facebook...my Teabagger friend responded in such:

snip>

" Please read Article I, Section 5 (2nd paragraph) of the Constitution."

end>

I responded, " Sure they can do it....but what they are doing is not a representation of the people. Shuts out, locks out a balance of debate for "We The People".

I need more material to shut him down of course. I won't change his, ever...not now. He can't see the trees for the forest and has bought the farm.

None of our representatives can now do what we sent them to Washington to do, all except Cantor. The Republicans have disenfranchised everyone and our votes are now irrelevant.
