amazing pivotal year

i remember feeling so much strength in the sheer numbers of my generation

Those ideals, have been put on the back burner
but, we STILL have the recipe...

is rancid, and the spices are weak and out of date, unable to bring what they once did to the flavor.

I don't think it will ever be as good as it was then. And I'm not sure what is coming out of the oven in the future is going to be tasty.

Different place now, different and angrier people, without soul, spirit, understanding. It's hard to relate how much that sucks to people now, that there were some great directions the country could have gone then, but chose to go down this one.

I'm with you. That was the year I really delved into the history of Vietnam, and learned of our awful involvement. I was just a high schooler then, but it really opened my eyes.

Stills and Young did a 20-minute version of "Blue Bird." Talk about a band that had a lasting impact......

God, I miss those times! Maybe not the times so much as the spirit of the times--when people really could change the world for the better. Stop the war, equal rights, social justice--what it was all about!
