James Hansen: Why I must speak out about climate change
Dr. James Hansen was project scientist on the Pioneer Venus probe. He used Venus greenhouse effect data from Pioneer to model the Earth's burgeoning greenhouse effect. He's been the most effective scientific voice for action on greenhouse gases; for that, he's been arrested and faced character assassination from the right.
Why does he keep fighting? His beautiful grandchildren provide two good reasons.
