Even older women who aren't in their child bearing years should not vote Republican. Do they realy want their daughters and grand-daughter's health put in the hands of people who are not only not doctors but in most cases lack even basic knowledge of medical science?

only 6 but what really worries me is how some states want to rewrite the definition of rape. How far are they going to go? Women MUST vote for their daughters and granddaughters.

Just thinking about the effect of the repubs war on women would have on them if they ever got into power drives me completely nuts.

about many things. They are also economically advantaged so that is a mercy to me.

I have a grandson in CA who is now bilingual. I truly hope he goes to Europe where he can use his second language, get a job and perhaps marry someone who can help him become a citizen there. I have diminishing hope for this country and the futures of all but the most advantaged citizens here....

I honestly don't know if going overseas is any better for him. I have my Italian cousins and one said he has found only a part-time job and not many hours. Things there are just as bad. Altough I love europe and would have loved to live there. But I had to be practical. Make sure if he moves that is what he wants for sure.

there are all kinds of problems in Europe too. However, there are those countries there that are doing well, such as the Scandinavian ones (where also women have a higher standard of living than women in this country). I am just hoping for my grandson that there will be opportunities for him to travel and speak at least one other language. I am in Europe as much as I possiblly can be, given the cost of airfare, and I love so much about the cultures I have experienced. No place is paradise. It's just that I am so disillusioned with the U.S. and so much of our culture...

brought here from Germany. I use to live in Germany on and off over the years. I couldn't speak the language but it didn't stop me from going off base and going to shop in the local stores. People are so helpful and friendly if you take the time to try to speak their language. I use to bring my little yellow book to help me. But in Germany many people speak English and are helpful. When I had a problem I would use my hands to express what I needed. They would take me over to the area and sure enough I would find what I needed. We would have lived in Europe but we had a child and I wanted my son to be near our families. It's been a long time since I been back because of my health. But it isn't easy in europe at this time. But I wouldn't trade my life with my Italian relatives. They live right by the ocean and we would go swimming everyday.
