I had the 8-track.

I drew the cover and screen printed it on a T-shirt in high school.

One of the little turds in my class said, "you like Bruce Springsteen? Bruce is a queer name, you must be queer."

Fast forward to now: the little turd has become a RW preacher, still as stupid and infected as before, though he was right about one thing: I AM queer. Spooky! So he found me on FB, and his worshippers could see. I reminded him of his stupid comments, then came out as a "librul." He started into the usual bullshit, then I told him he was an asshole then and a worse one now. They had to pass the smelling salts.

Another thing that happens at a Springsteen concert is, when they play the intro for Thunder Road, at the precise moment, tens of thousands of fans sing, "The screen door slams, Mary's dress waves, ..." It is deafening.

No one boos The Boss, ever!

not Bruuuuuuuuce.

You need to stop.

I have been to, maybe 10 Springsteen concerts, dating back to the 1970s. There are fans who have been to hundreds. Shouting Bruuuuuuuuce, is an ecstatic almost spiritual expression of appreciation.

who wanted Springsteen to play at his first inaugural celebration - and was turned down. With the concerts for Sandy, he finally got to be on stage with Springsteen. If he ever had visions of Bruce endorsing him for President - as he did John Kerry and Obama - he has to know that will never happen.
