(7,321 posts)1. Very Well Done, Jon! Outstanding summation of Pete Seeger's Life and Work as a Radical Activist and
Artist.
Mental note to self: When i get discouraged over the slow slog of progressive struggle for reforms, be inspired by Seeger's work and his attitude.
Let me remember how he did it.
Let us all remember how he pressed on and always with a song in his heart.
Thanks for posting interview geefloyd46. !

(7,321 posts)2. Flags should have been raised at Half Mast yesterday in his honor.
In fact, his birthday s/b a national holiday in his honor. That would be May 3rd.
Born May 3, 1919.
Wonder if we can make happen by his centennial?

(7,321 posts)3. Love to be at his memorial.
Imagine the HUGE turnout this is going to be.
The jam sessions will be freaking awesome.
Little mini-concerts in every nook and cranny where ever this will be held. I want to be there.

Giants Who Believed in the Little Guy
Perhaps the two greatest folk heroes of the century in rare photos together, Pete Seeger and his good pal Woody Guthrie. (See my many Pete-related videos earlier on this blog today, co-starring Johnny Cash, Sam Cooke, Leonard Cohen, the Byrds, more.)
