Without a strong manufacturing sector - a country is screwed. How is Brazil working to protect it's economy - and can America do the same thing?

That's how we did it when we took Britain's place as the dominant empire, and that's how those vying to take our place are doing it now.

Free market economies are a myth and a con. Protectionism, is a necessity if a nation is to prosper.
