How many more kids - particularly minority kids - will be murdered by frightened men like Zimmerman before these "Stand Your Ground" laws that give killers immunity are dismantled?

As he said, 16 states have similar "shoot 1st" laws as fear sells, despite the murder rate constantly going down. But who needs numbers, research and facts?

The only way for you to affirm your own rights is to respect the rights of others. If you don't wish to be harmed then do no harm. These "Make My Day" laws undermine responsible gun ownership. In this country you have the right to bear arms (deadly weapons) - that should come with a heavy burden of responsibility reflected in the law. If you discharge a firearm against another human being you better have had a damn good reason.
