Thom Hartmann: Look! GOP Governor & Giant Duke Energy are too Cozy!

Frank Holleman, Southern Environmental Law Center, joins Thom Hartmann. A coal spill on the Dan River in North Carolina has exposed the cozy relationship between that state's Republican Governor and power giant Duke Energy. But could a federal investigation turn things around in the Tar Heel State?

start buying local advertising like crazy. Once the media all get paid well in advertising dollars nary a bad word will be said. This is what BP has done. The residents have to watch tons of BP propaganda disguised as "We are here for you, working hard..." Except they stopped cleaning up unless it washes ashore.
The rivers will be polluted for generations. What a shame, think of all of those pictures of a young kid catching their first fish that won't be taken. The local kids lost something big. I know that everyone there lost something. I love to fish and know that the further you have to go to fish the less you go. My local river has been ruined decades ago by a paper mill. There are fish there now, but I wouldn't eat them!
