But I believe it was done by anti-Assad forces w/thin Syria. The BBC is shoddy in this reporting, yes. It should be more careful. Is the BBC biased? Sure is. It's a Western news outlet. Is RT biased? You bet. Whom do I overall trust more? The BBC by a long shot.

And since Tony Blair, they are overrun with Conservative commentators.

Would RT have run Hugo Chavez' portrait alongside Gaddaffi's and Saddam Hussein's when announcing his death? Don't think so.

BBC may be more trustworthy than some of Russia's more Putin-aligned domestic news outlets, but RT is meant to be international so the focus is different. I think they help greatly in allowing people to read between the lines.

At least for the time being, I would trust RT more than the BBC for international news (though RT's coverage is more limited, which is the biggest difference between them, IMHO).

It never points out the absurd and outright lies of the Kremlin. It never points out the outright theft that masquarades as politics in Russia. It never asks hard questions of the Russian government. It white washes the Russian side. It really does. I think RT is very clever, but very biased, and I also believe it is meant to purposely appeal to some who would call themselves 'left'...they push all kinds of conspiracy theories. Russia is the supreme land of real conspiracy theories. Funny how RT never pushes any those, eh?

Tally up the number of US military installations around the world and compare it to the Russian "side". Then you tell me where the critical focus belongs.

It never points out the outright theft that masquarades as politics in Russia.

Are you angling toward a defence of oligarchs?

to start the Chechen war?

Ever hear of Sergei Magnitsky?

If you haven't, you should check them out. Russia is a rabbit hole of corruption.

Oh, so we have some bases around the world. Boo hoo! Like Russia wouldn't if it could. Give me a break.

You need to wake the F up!

The screen shot shows this refers to aCardfiff University Study. The study referred to bias by the BBC. Search and read that and then report back here on your findings if they contradict the RT item. If we don't hear back we'll know you were wrong - won't we.

Big time.

BBC didn't stage this whole event. They were invited. They reported it. Nothing the BBC does will ever come close to the disinformation that flows out of the Kremlin.
