Two part VIDEO here: http://www.mediaite.com/tv/lawrence-odonnell-and-charles-blow-give-george-zimmerman-pal-joe-oliver-epic-grilling/
This interview, with host Lawrence ODonnell (possibly still steaming from last nights walkout by Zimmermans lawyer) and The New York Times Charles Blow, is amazing on many levels, and covers many of the points Ive raised about the misleading, nonsensical things Oliver has been saying, and challenging the closeness of his relationship with Zimmerman. By the second segment, when WaPos Jonathan Capehart tagged in, Oliver began to actually dispute the characterization of him as a close friend, and told all three that My role in this just doesnt make sense.

(39,451 posts)I usually don't watch Lawrence but am SO glad that I saw it tonite.
Both him and Charles Blow did the job the media should be doing.
Lawrence does need to calm down a bit - he gets a little too pushy at times, but wow.

(27,275 posts)first he claims they did not work together, then he claims they talked while they worked together Oliver has no credibility.

(27,275 posts)he's obviously lying, but...why?

(1,412 posts)Zimmerman's behalf. I think he has dug a big hole for himself and is a lair. One can lie by admission or omission, he has done both.

(4,310 posts)Find an opportunity when the cameras focus on you to turn that 15 minutes of fame
into a media, political career. Joe Oliver has sold his soul for that opportunity which
he knows will play well in his neck of the woods.
