Hillary Clinton has a huge disadvantage heading into the 2016 elections everyone in the country knows that she is a pro-corporate candidate. Bill Clinton is now hitting the road, trying to convince the American public that he and Hillary are the definition of populist, but the public isnt buying it.
Ring of Fires Mike Papantonio discusses this with best-selling author Thomas Frank.

(8,812 posts)I wish Papantonio didn't interrupt Frank as much as he did though.
(Part of it may be a Skype thing, I realize. I've had similar problems in Skype meetings.)
I think the discussion makes an important point that although corporate Democrats seem to maintain traditional populist positions in certain social issues, it's in the economic area that they are dismantling the legacy of the New Deal. There's also an alarming congruence on foreign policy with Republicans and corporate Democrats, but this wasn't discussed.)

Can we PLEASE PROGRESS???
Can we just leave the awful 1990's where they are, in the past?
Would these people just stop with their egoistic self-indulgent power trip and go away and enjoy their millions and let somebody WHO ACTUALLY CARES run for office.
God Damn It.

that if they competed with 3rd World Slave Labor for their jobs, it would be GOOD for them,
and America's Working Class BELIEVED him.
Hillary?
...not so smooth.
She will NEED Bill's help to get elected.
They have a lot to overcome.
