I too am from NC. My ancestry here predates the formation of "a more perfect union" and I have and will continue to march with Reverend Barber. I am now an assistant judge with my local board of elections. I am a traveling voter registration drive as I keep the forms in my car so if you are in my vicinity and you want to register we can make that happen as I have for more than 100 folks and counting since last summer.

My people have lived on the same piece of dirt for over five generations. Tough, smart, hard working independent thinkers formed the foundation that I stand on. We didn't lay down for the Kings men before and sure won't be doing it now.

Get up. Go to your board of elections. Volunteer. It's not that difficult. Shine a light.
