thesis.(BLOOD AND OIL)..Many estimates of when we reached 'peak oil'...To my recollections worst case scenarios were that the planet's peak oil was reached sometime in the early 1970's. Regardless of the year, the world's reserves of accessible petroleum resources are harder to find and this is forcing riskier measures to get at the harder to find black gold. This is why we are seeking petroleum offshore, in the Arctic and geo-politically unstable areas. In those areas geopolitically inhospitable to the US (Venezuela) political leaders are trying to implement regime changes with governments that are friendly to US interests....There are only a few years left and this limited window of opportunity explains the push to control Ukraine....petroleum resources after all would be replaced with gas.
