The ineffectiveness and divisiveness of the Congress - mainly due to the gerrymandering of the Republican Party - has created a non-representative government that is resistant to change and averse to actually governing.

Revolution is coming. The left-right divide is less important than the monied-non-monied divide in our politics and the only way this is going to change is critical mass of the oppressed being awakened to action. There is no way the 1% should run as much as they do, but the apathy and ridiculous nature of the electorate is making it possible. Our job should not be to elect one party over the other simply based on their letter designation (R or D)...it should be to promote the candidates that are willing to put a number by their name instead (1% or 99%). FUCK THE TWO PARTIES!

I am supremely frustrated with most Americans. I was going to say "fellow Americans", but I feel so disconnected from most of their trivial and superficial daily concerns that it simply does not apply.

I hope more Americans snap out of their matrix-induced haze soon so we can begin to turn this country back around. I don't think it will begin to happen until that happens.

1: Sync the Electoral College to the popular vote, state by state if necessary.
2: Change winner take all to proportional representation.
3: Make all elections exclusively publicly funded, by any means. I am a supporter of Wolf-pac, however any way which achieves the same goal is fine.
4: Only allow the judges of SCOTUS to serve a single 25 year term, give them a gold watch and send them home as regular citizens to live under the world they created.

Any two of these dramatically change things.
We know this to be true because it has already happened (ie; Citizens United & Hobby Lobby).

60:40 we don't survive. There are not enough people left who remember what you have to actually do to regain control of a country in comparison to the number of people who don't care, don't understand or can't be bothered. And with the diminution of God and religion, even those who thought these intangibles strong enough to fight and die for can no longer be counted on.

neo-feudalism is fast replacing the nation state system. The United States as I and many others knew it was replaced long ago by a corporatocracy.

life interest is money and power, the bottom began reducing moral turpitude among a declining middle class. What's left is a giant ship moving through the water by inertia with cute little cats looking out from lifeboat covers.

i'm glad i don't have a daughter. or son actually.

and i'm glad i'm not one of those people who voted for reagan or bush.

my conscience is clean, lets watch the ship go down and eat popcorn.

my boss's twenty six year old college grad son doesn't know what a GMO is. just thought i'd toss that out there. lots of americans are very ignorant. the only thing worse than an apathetic ignorant person is a riled up ignorant person.
