No Way — This Dog is a Hero!

http://blog.theanimalrescuesite.com/no-way-this-dog-is-a-hero/

In an incredible feat of canine heroism, today’s Dog of the Day saved a fourteen-month boy in the most amazing way!

When the toddler, Stanley, fell into the backyard in-ground pool, Bear (the family’s black Labrador) dove in for the rescue. By balancing Stanley on his back, Bear was able to keep the child’s head from going underwater until help arrived — which ultimately saved Stanley’s life.

See this incredible hero dog, and get the full story in the video below!

I read an old article the other day on slate that had me in near tears. A woman saying she no longer loved her dog because she had babies. It was so bad, people in the comments were offering to take the dog from her. I could not believe it was even posted by a major publication because it was trying to justify neglect and cruelty because she was a mother. I have often heard that people take their pets to the shelter when they have a baby, or dump them some where. Stories like these I hope will make people realize that pets are part of the family and care about you and your children.
