On September 21st
we have an unprecedented chance to prove how much we care about climate change with the largest climate mobilisation in history.

Also for Publicly Funded Federal, State, and Local Elections as that is the way to defeat the Special Interests who are blocking any real attempts at controlling Greenhouse Gases! The oil companies, coal companies, and Wall Street will not let THEIR politicians do anything substantive to help solve the problem that the Pentagon and the Insurance companies know is already here!
It would give us many other benefits as well, but Climate Change is the main reason why we must do this right away!

... namely, that climate change is analagous to the abolition movement of the 1850s. Seder's mention of Hayes's article has led me to look up Hayes's piece, which I'm reading now. It's excellent; great insights (link below).

Same as Cenk (TYT).

It's something that I just can't understand.

Are you suggesting that anyone who views global warming as a threat shouldn't have children?

Or...?

And global warming is much more than a threat. Anyone that is paying attention knows this.

Also, just for my edification, please let me know what noun you want people to use to describe global warming, since you felt it necessary to reprimand me for calling it a threat.

Peril? Danger? Hazard? Menace?

but I would (climate change realists shouldn't have children, that is). No less a neoliberal/neoconservative institution as the Pentagon is suggesting our time is running out. Now Price Waterhouse puts out a report setting our timetable at 2034 (many leading scientists have targeted 2036). If your child is born today they will be lucky to see their 25th birthday. The only way to avoid it now is to leave your car at home starting tomorrow and cut down on your red meat intake considerably. As if that's going to happen. In the face of all this, if you're still driving by yourself to work every day you are, IMNSHO, an inferior being. Flame away!

... it appears both you and Dawgs are stating--unequivocally--that all progressives should not have children. Okay, then!
