But, knowing what I do now and being a fan of the band, I wish I could have been there. Lydon and his band were a class act and the audience seemed to love it, different though it was for AB fare.

It surprised me. I quit watch American Bandstand in the 70's and totally missed paying attention to Johnny Rotten/PIL.

This actually made me feel FAR batter about Dick Clark before he went off the deep conservative end of things. Good memory for some, but NEW to this baby boomer!

At one point he gives away the microphone... he seemed quite a character... even using nose drops on camera. How bizarre.

The drummer going at it in the middle of the dance floor was really cool, I thought. And some of Lydon's live voice was superimposed over the studio track as well, I think. I got a chuckle out of the nasal spray at the end.
