TPP -- Fast Track To Disaster

President Obama has made it clear that he supports disastrous trade deals like the Trans Pacific Partnership, but luckily we’ve had enough Democratic representatives in Washington to keep the deal off the table. But this year’s midterm elections have changed the makeup of Congress.

Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins and attorney David Hersh discuss if the TPP is headed to the fast track for approval.

I would urge anyone who is concerned about this 'discounted bargain basement sale' of our national sovereignty to go to the next scheduled meeting arranged by your local Democratic Party apparatchiks.

Sit quietly as they go over the inane and essentially useless issues they cover and if you dare, raise your hand and politely ask them to discuss the vital issue of TPP

If some of them actually acknowledge even knowing it's a threatening trade 'deal' and not some new spicy offering from a national burger chain count your blessings.

See if you can arouse even the slightest ire from the party faithful who will sit silently and take strange glances your way, always with head down and never implying you may be a fellow traveler.

I'm serious

Better yet go when your elected Representative is in town (even if a Republican Bot)

Let's make it a national event

Then we can all report back on DU what we had experienced

Better than just getting drunk on a Tuesday night, alone in front of your computer.

Of course after you go there you may just prefer sitting and getting stink faced or stoned.

Right?

too many jobs will disappear here if this happens, even if they are shitty paying jobs,. I do not agree with TPP. But we all know who really runs the world and controls most leaders in the world. It's a fact.

for a politician who supports the TPP. Or TTIP. Or any other "trade" deal coming down the pike.

Those secretive "deals" put EVERYTHING on the table.

He should be challenged by Democrats that are aware of the harm of previous trade deals.
