Before I agreed to accept the check...er...agreed to do the show, I was told that nobody who could even find Britain on a MAP would be watching the show. I blame this whole fiasco on Fox News' poor viewer research department."

(16,350 posts)Who is he and why should anybody care what he says? Not putting down your OP, just wondering why anybody pays attention to somebody who is maybe nobody?

I would like to add this: Only 21% of the people of Birmingham are Muslims, but even if every last person there were Muslim, is being a Muslim in and of itself a bad thing? And if it is not, why did Mr. Emerson characterize Birmingham as a place where "people just don't go"?
That was the problem I had with Mr. Emerson's remarks. The undercurrent of his tone in its context indicated to me that he was characterizing people of the Islamic faith as terrorists or uncivilized. And he worries about people thinking he has no credibility? After watching the clip of his appearance on FoxNews the other day, I came to the conclusion that Mr. Emerson is a hack and has no credibility. Before that, I had never heard of him.
