Even if one could take seriously that the buybull was mostly literal, she believes that there are no gaps in ? Take her back, say a mere 400 years, and I guarantee a bulb as dim as hers would leave zero trace in any historical record.

There's something Palinesque in her cadence and expressions. I have to think it's some sort of pathology..

I'm in the CAD Facebook group and this has got to be one of the funniest things ever.

The thing is that I know more and more people who actually think and believe like this.
There is a faction of the Tea Party-Repuglican, religious-right that have become so reactionary that they reject almost anything with the words "science" or "government" associated with it.

A perfect foil for devastating satire.

A few months ago, a guy that I work with was reading an article in the paper about ancient whale fossils being found on the banks of the Potomac River. The fossils were estimated to be 15 million years old. What a discovery, right?

Wrong. He snorted and said "Yeah, right. As if anything can be that old."

On most things, he is a very intelligent guy, but he thinks the earth was created no more than 6K years ago. No surprise that he doesn't believe in evolution and thinks climate change is a hoax.

the most ignorant and arrogant poster yet.

The most annoying aspect of her presentation was her complete confidence that her little display of broken rock completely disproved the work of thousands of trained and dedicated paleontologists from all over the World.

Her cutesy pie mannerisms reminded me of Mrs. Palin. It's just the kind of stuff that loony
right wingers love. I particularly noticed the four fingers gesture she used to designate that the word "fossils" was perhaps an illegitimate term, a fabrication by scientists.

She, in a two minute discussion, has attempted to totally debunk what is probably the most certain history known to the human race, namely, the 4.5 billion year history of the Earth as clearly and literally written in stone.

That the idea of dinosaurs came before the first dinosaur bone was found? Very wrong.

They were known in China from about the year 265. In the western world, the first dinosaur bones were found in the late 1600s. They were assumed to be bones of iguanas or creatures from the bible. The word dinosaur was first coined in 1841 (or 1842, depending on the source).

In fact, this little idiot is wrong about everything and just a little too smug in her lack of knowledge. Quite frankly, people like her are kooks.

some dinosaur taxa were known (and named) before Dinosauria was established - Megalosaurus in 1822, Iguanodon in 1825, Hylaeosaurus in 1832, and so on.

This is why I think this is satire. Too many of the whoppers are far too easily debunked with far too little effort for it to be otherwise.

The internet is replete with morons who video tape themselves making long pontificating monologues of themselves being arrogant tools. The creationist/anti-science crowd that WANT to be told things that support their ridiculous world views on biblical literacy and inerrancy flock to this manure like flies to the real thing.

I just wish the stoopid actually hurt because these people deserve to be in pain.

Normally with satire, there is always a subtle tip-of-the-hat to clue people in. If you watch the video objectively, you'll note that nod to the crowd is decidedly missing.

Based off what I've seen, and in the vacuum of any additional evidence, this does not appear to be satire.

She makes a great point, but I think her pronunciation and mannerisms are too clear. I don't think she's really mind-numb and brain-impaired as she implies. Who knows how many takes it took to look that chokingly stupid.

I'm sure there are those in the right-wing Christian world who are dumber than that pile of rocks on the table, but I think this is satire.

Also, Brachiosaurus, which she pronounces pretty well, was about 9 meters tall, not 40 meters tall.

Stupidity, ignorance, and contempt are used by bleevers to support a lame, fictitious superstition.

Bleevers have no facts on their side, so they have to resort to lies, emotion, and intimidation.

By imitating and exaggerating these qualities, she is exposing them. It is mockery on her part.

Also- If you check out the YouTube video on large screen, you'll notice that the body language of the Palinesque attributes are more appropriate for a stripper pole, not Christian Worship.

Also, on large screen, you can see that the "rocks" are chopped-up drywall chunks. You can even see the drywall paper peeling off them.

You're also welcome to check out the Christians Against Dinosaurs Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Christians-against-dinosaurs/869056093104638

Also note the typical conservative personal value projection of "If you want to keep your job, then....". Conservatives always seem to presume the world is like them, and just wants to do whatever it takes to "keep their job" rather than maintain professional integrity.
